PUSH lauding the efforts of PFUJ for the protection of journalists’ rights and press freedom, said the efforts of the media organizations will yield positive results for the freedom of press in coming days.

In a press release issued here on Friday, PUSH demanded of the Ministry of Information to come forward for the help of Irshad Mastoi. The journalist currently working with ONLINE international news network as a reporter from Quetta Balochistan, lost his right hand while performing professional duty last year during NFC Award ceremony in Gwadar, due to high transmission electricity shock.

Expressing sorrow over the incident of suicide by a newly wed couple few days back driven by poverty, PUSH demanded of the government to take concrete measures for poverty alleviation in the country.

There should also be a procedure to review the decisions of blocking such websites.
